There is an art section. However, this is primarily a writing tutorial. Sorry, I hate doing art tutorials. However, the larger-than-average file size is primarily due to the images from that first section.
This is a PDF. You will need a PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat or FoxIt in order to view this tutorial! Both are available for free online. Google is your friend.
After two weeks of hard work, I present to you a compilation tutorial about Eric Slingby and Alan Humphries, two memorable shinigami from the second Kuroshitsuji musical.
Eric and Alan are characters that are frequently overlooked. I feel that they deserve a little more respect. After a number of requests for just such a tutorial, I decided to put one together. This particular guide covers:
- Do's and Don'ts for the pairing, story writing and each character
- How to draw Eric and Alan
I hope you'll find it useful! Many, many thanks to the people who helped me out by checking facts or reading over various segments of this tutorial. Let me know what you think!
William isn’t a tooth fairy." XD Nice man. This actually very useful to me because I was planning on doing some fanart for the two...
However, I also have a question as you seen the only person who may actually know. I have googled this before to no avail - What is the the first name of the actor who plays Eric? I know he's called Taisuke Saeki but I'm aware of the culture of trading places with the first and second name so I'm uncertain. If you could help that would be amazing.
Yet again I applaud you and all your other tutorials. You inspire the future of literature.
Yes, I have to agree the newest edition looks a little feminine for the character role of Eric. I guess we shall have to wait see if he can compete, I hear the new version will be released on DVD in the late Fall.
I'm hoping the new one will be good but I don't think its going to be able to hold a candle to the original crew.
oh dear lord....william isn't a tooth fairy... XDDD
And good lord, William as the Tooth Fairy~
Thanks for putting this up!! This'll really come in handy later in case I want to write about them ^^
I'll do all the don'ts just for you.
Interpretation is what makes writers craft such varied works. Even if said works are, well, shit, there's not really a need to spell everything out to the authors that make them. I get that you're trying to raise the bar a bit, it's just so . . . pompous, my god!
Write up one for South Park's Cartman/Kyle someday, then. That's where your unmitigated zeal should go next, if you're keen on helping out across the world of fanfic.
Oh, I forgot that the internet was totally indicative of what one does for another! Well, you sure are doing such a wonderful public service then!
I'll just take my unhelpful self somewhere else, so I can learn the ways of true generosity!
The art section is INCREDIBLY helpful. You included a lot of details I probably would've missed... T-T
Though I don't plan to write any fanfiction, the writing portion was insightful, as well. If nothing else, I now have a greater understanding of their character and interactions, which will undoubtedly come in handy with fanart.
Thanks for making this!
I'm glad you found it useful. If there's ever anything I can do to help, let me know.
I laughed when you spoke of Alan being reffered to as Anal and William not being a tooth fairy x'D
Thank you so much!
